STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. At STEM, we use PBL (project based learning) and focus on STEM fields. PBL is a more hands on experience were we learn about a topic, apply it in a project, and continue learning about said topic. At other schools, they are what we call passive learners, who learn things, but don’t apply it. Here at STEM, we are active learners, were we apply our knowledge in a project(s). We also use the 5 qualities, Persistence, Inquiry, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. We use the 5 qualities because it will help us more in life than grades, because they teach us how to work and ways to work. The qualities effect my life at STEM by helping me with tasks we do during our time at school, like projects.
